If you have been around for that golden era of console and PC gaming, when arcades were big and popular, arcade shooters were some of the popular games to experience. There were games like Contra, Metal Slug, and so forth for you to literally waste hours playing, and lots of people including myself did do that. Huntdown is definitely an upcoming arcade shooter for Android that has exactly the same sort of style the old school titles had.
In Huntdown players will be managing our pixelated hero who appears to be to save his city all types of criminals set on taking it over. The theme is a cyberpunk one, so you’ll have robots, cyborgs, punk-looking criminals, and anything else for the reason that genre to cope with, which are trying to kill you.
The developers are fans from the old school arcade shooter genre, having developed with those games. So that they are apparently keeping the whole thing authentic, right down to the way they are developing it using hand-drawn pixel animations and taking advantage of old tracker-programs for the soundtrack. That’s a great deal of work immediately.
Unfortunately there isn’t any specific release date or pricing information for Huntdown, only that it will be released onto mobile (Android/iOS) soon. Meanwhile though, you can check out the game’s trailer above to determine a few of the gameplay.
