Next week on April 14th is popping right into a pretty busy release day for Android games there are even more being announced for your Thursday, with the newest title being Dungenious. Developed by Noizoo Games, this turn-based dungeon crawler is actually a little bit of an unusual hybrid game, meshing dungeon crawler with RPG mechanics along with a quiz system.
In farmville players will have to answer questions in order to progress through the current dungeon they are actually rummaging around in. As you complete questions, you’ll be able to use that knowledge to your benefit in taking out monsters you encounter within the dungeon. It is a bit of the strange mix. Answering correctly can also get your character land a panic attack on the monster. Have your call answered wrong and you are open to getting attacked.
“Attack a Red Book Maki and gain new knowledge that you will use as the weapon from the dungeon’s monsters. Sleepy Wooden Deer awake when you cross their path; Piranha Rats move fast and gnaw away in the letters inside a quiz; Jelly Ghosts are unaffected by obstacles and can walk through walls; and the Greedy Monkey will rotate your quiz solutions to confuse you — stealing your talent if you take a hit.” – Dungenious
– Experience a mixture of flashcards as well as an engaging turn-based dungeon crawler
– Upgrade your hero with powerful skills

Along the way you’ll be collecting “Genius Points” from fallen monsters that can be used to cast various spells. Should you encounter a chest, opening it requires you to complete a whole different kind of quiz, where you’ll need to successfully match three answers on the left and three questions about the best. The topics for these quizzes vary greatly as well, ranging from Math to History, Geography, Art, and so on. Players will also be able to create their very own flashcards and quizzes while using Quizlet, which you can then load in to the game and have to cope with your personal custom quizzed.
If you’re interested in this rather unique hybrid game, Dungenious will be landing on Android next Thursday, April 14th, 2016. It will be available for a set $2.99 price without any IAPs either. You should check out the game’s trailer in the meantime to determine this strange game for action.
